At IMPACT, we believe that martial arts are about much more than learning techniques, improving fitness, or earning the next belt. While progress on the mats is important, we believe that the relationships built through training are what make the journey truly meaningful.
One of the things that many people find unique about martial arts is the sense of community that develops naturally. It is not uncommon to see complete strangers become close friends through training. People from different backgrounds, professions, cultures, and age groups come together with a common goal: to challenge themselves, improve, and support one another.
For many of our members, IMPACT becomes more than just a place to train. It becomes a place where they feel welcomed, appreciated, and part of something bigger than themselves.
Creating this environment does not happen by accident. It is something we actively strive for every day.
Our coaches play a vital role in building a culture where everyone feels safe and respected. From the moment a new member walks through our doors, our goal is to make them feel comfortable, regardless of their experience level, fitness level, or personal goals. We understand that stepping onto the mats for the first time can be intimidating, which is why our coaching team works hard to create an atmosphere that is supportive, encouraging, and free from unnecessary ego.
At IMPACT, we want people to feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and learning at their own pace. We believe that the best training environment is one where members challenge each other while also looking out for one another.
This focus on community is one of the reasons we organise so many events throughout the year. While training brings people together, social events allow friendships to grow beyond the classroom. They give members the opportunity to connect with people from other classes, spend time together outside of their regular training schedules, and strengthen the relationships that make our academy such a special place.
Whether it's sharing a meal after training, supporting teammates at competitions, attending seminars, or celebrating milestones together, these moments help create memories that last long after the training session has ended.
July is shaping up to be an exciting month, and we are looking forward to several fantastic events:
BJJ Sunday Sparring with Coach Joao
An opportunity for members to come together for additional training, exchange knowledge, challenge themselves, and enjoy the camaraderie that makes Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu so special.
Muay Thai Seminar with Zoe Neuschwander
We are excited to welcome Zoe to IMPACT for a special seminar. This is a fantastic chance to learn from one of the sport's most respected athletes, gain valuable technical insights, and connect with fellow members who share a passion for Muay Thai.
Grand Opening of Our Newest and Largest IMPACT Studio in Zurich
This represents a major milestone for our academy and our community. What started as a vision to create a welcoming home for martial arts continues to grow, and we are excited to celebrate this achievement together with our members, families, friends, and supporters.
As IMPACT continues to grow, our commitment remains the same: to provide world-class martial arts instruction while fostering a community where people feel safe, valued, and connected.
Thank you for being part of this journey with us. Whether you've been training for years or have only recently joined, you are an important part of what makes IMPACT special.
Because while martial arts may bring us together, it is the people, the friendships, and the shared experiences that keep us coming back.
