About Us at Impact Martial Arts

Impact Martial Arts was established in 2003, and has operated in the Greater Sudbury Area since 2006. We focus on small group classes and private lessons in some of the worlds leading Martial Art disciplines. Our core discipline is Taekwondo, but we also offer XMA - (Extreme Martial Arts)  which combines advanced kicking skills, weapon skills and acrobatics. 

Instructor Steve Gagne

Owner and Head Instructor Steve Gagne started studying the martial arts in 1987, and currently holds a 3rd degree Black Belt in Taekwondo.

For ten years Steve studied under the watchful eye of Grand Master James Kim and Master Shakib Foroughi at the world renown Tiger Kim's Martial Arts Academy.

These highly respected martial artists and teachers immediately became his  mentors imparting on Steve the values of excellence and personal accomplishment. As Head Instructor at Impact Martial arts Academy Steve honours his teachers by passing on these principles to his students.

Instructor Steve is ever grateful to have been lead through life's challenges and successes with the belief and courage of his masters roaring through his body, mind and spirit every day.

Instructor Steve has won several competitions beginning in 2003, and most recently took 3rd place in sparring at the Open Black Belt World Championships in 2007.
